A Night With Neil Diamond at Alexa Park LV

The legendary Rob Garrett’s “KING OF DIAMONDS” Las Vegas tribute show continues in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in rock and pop music history.

In addition to being one of the best-selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the songs of a generation — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be preserved for audiences throughout the world through Las Vegas entertainer Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Alexa “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In May 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City cheap Las Vegas shows Neil Diamond tribute under 50 to Las Vegas, where, at age 16, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.

In 1995, Garrett was selected by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a three-year success.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also won numerous awards, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

The Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
